CAPE-OPEN Type Libraries (TLBs) and Primary Interop Assemblies (PIAs) installers are made available in a single archive that contains x86 and x64 versions:
- version 2.1.2 (released on September 23, 2021) corrects interface definitions for Flowsheet Monitoring (ticket 27) and improves installation/uninstallation behavior (ticket 28 and ticket 29).
- version 2.1.1 (released on July 31, 2021) includes interface definitions for Flowsheet Monitoring and Custom Data specifications.
- version 2.0 incorporated PIAs, allowed for per-user or per-machine installation, came with a vendor certificate, and could be used either for x86 or x64 architectures.
Documentation on the Type Libraries and Primary Interop Assemblies installers is available: it explains how to best make use of the installers especially within the installation package of a piece of software implementing CAPE-OPEN interfaces. Current version of this guide for developers is not yet consistent with version 2.0 of the installers for the CAPE-OPEN TLBs and PIAs.
The entire sets of CAPE-OPEN specifications in textual format are made available for versions 1.0 and 1.1 of the CAPE-OPEN standard. These sets contain the reference specification documents as well as errata and clarifications documents as applicable.
