Description
These days I am confronted with the need to compare two logs, made on two different machines however with the same PME and the same PMC and running, at least theoretically, the same scenario. One log is weighting 25 Kbytes, the other weights more than 700 Kbytes. Just the difference in size tells a lot but not all and it is rather cumbersome to compare side by side the two logs. Today I need to open each log in a different viewer, to display the two viewers side by side and then to proceed with filtering in the same way on both (typically removing query interface calls) and then analyze visually the similarities or differences. Would be better to get the two logs within the same viewer, to select which parts of each log need to be compared, after applying same filtering on both. Differences would be then highlighted in both logs.
