#7 wontfix Display of error when .Net Framework 2.0 not present michelpons michelpons

Reported by michelpons, 8 years ago.

Description

I have created a Virtual Machine running under Win XP Pro. When Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 is not installed, there is an error message and the installer exits. Was wondering if the dialog could not be reduced to one screen showing up instead of two like nowadays.

#8 fixed Rights to write missing michelpons michelpons

Reported by michelpons, 8 years ago.

Description

In a Win XP Pro machine, I am running as computer administrator. After installing .NET Framework 3.5, I launch the x86 installer. I choose to make a per-user installation. The installer indicates it is ready to begin the installation. I get an error message: "Error writing to file: CAPE-OPENv1-0-0.dll. Verify that you have to that directory". I am proposed to retry. That I do and I then get to the screen indicating the installer is exiting because of an error.

#9 fixed Text on top of screen for selection between user and machine installs michelpons michelpons

Reported by michelpons, 8 years ago.

Description

The text on top of the screen where the user selects between per-user and per-machine installations says "Choose the installation scope and folder". While the choice made by the user will have consequences on which folders are used to store the TLBs and PIAs, this is a behind the scene consequence and the user is not proposed a choice of folder per se, something that the title may let the user thinks is proposed. So I recommend that "Choose the installation scope" is the title displayed.
