#10 fixed Text explaining per-user installation michelpons michelpons

Reported by michelpons, 8 years ago.

Description

Currently the choice of a per-user installation is explained as follows on the installer screen "CAPE-OPEN Type Libraries x64 will be installed in a per-user folder and be available just for your account. You do not need local Administrator privileges.". The text should make reference both to type libraries and Primary Interop Assemblies. Since PIAs are copied to a sub-folder of the folder in which the TLBs are copied, the text could say: "CAPE-OPEN Type Libraries and Primary Interop Assemblies will be copied in per-user folders and be made available just for your account. You do not need local Administrator privileges to proceed."

#11 fixed Text on launch screen michelpons michelpons

Reported by michelpons, 8 years ago.

Description

After selecting which type of installation (per-user or per-machine) the user wants to perform, a screen appears that gives three options to the user: modify settings by going back to the previous screen, launch installation or cancel the installation. There is no mention of the choice the user just made. Would it be possible to display the choice made so that the user may be prompted to change settings if, for example, he/she kept the default option (per user) while willing to make a per-machine installation?

#12 wontfix Log of installation michelpons michelpons

Reported by michelpons, 8 years ago.

Description

During the installation itself, the user is looking at a screen where a status line appears and where text is displayed for a very short period of time (speed depends obviously on computer performance). Would it be possible to obtain a log of the installation and to have it accessible from the final installation screen. This would raise the issue of where to store that log.
